SPIREITES LINK UP WITH LOCAL SCHOOLS
Youngsters in Chesterfield are getting an opportunity to support their local football league club with an unprecedented offer to local schools.
The message has gone out to local infant and junior schools in Chesterfield sell a special discounted dual junior and adult ticket for our next home game against Bournemouth for just £6 and the school gets to keep £1 for every ticket sold for school funds'.
On top of that every school which sells more than ten dual tickets will receive a fund raising pack of merchandise from the football club which can be used to support the school's own fund raising events.
CFC Associate Director John Crout, who oversees 'Football in the Community' at the club said:
"We want Chesterfield FC to be at the heart of sport in Chesterfield and have an objective to promote football in our local community. This special link up with local schools may even give some youngsters their very first taste of league football".
The special priced dual £6 ticket is for the Cross Street terrace on Saturday 24th of November when Bournemouth are the visitors. It means a saving on normal matchday prices of £14.00.
Tickets are limited to 600 on a first come first served basis. A letter has been sent out to local junior and infant schools giving them the opportunity to get involved with this special offer. But if your a Junior Spireite why not ask at your School about the offer as well !.
This initiative builds on some good contacts already in place between local schools and 'Football in the Community' where coaching can be provided to local youngsters by Football in the Community Officer, Andy Morris and his team.
