Reserve goalkeeper Michael Jordan is leaving Chesterfield by mutual consent to enable him to pursue his football career elsewhere.

The club had indicated that it will not be offering the 21 year old a further extension to his contract when it expires at the end of the season.

 

Chesterfield manager Lee Richardson said: "We have allowed Michael to leave at this time to give him an early opportunity of finding another club."

 

He added: "We thank him for his time at Chesterfield and wish him all the best for the future."

 

A further statement about the goalkeeping situation will be made shortly.
