The defender has had five stitches in a head wound and has had to withdraw from the midweek game on medical advice.

He could also be a doubt for Chesterfield's next league game away at Peterborough United this Saturday 25 August.

Australia's Quantas U23 team is due to play an Olympic qualifying game against Iraq in Qatar this Wednesday.

Chesterfield manager Lee Richardson said: "It is an unfortunate injury and we know Aaron is disappointed to miss this International but we need to take account of medical advice to ensure Aaron's future wellbeing.

"The decision has been taken in liaison with the Australian coaching staff."
