There's a chance to see Spireites memorabilia, including historic old film footage, covering more than a hundred years at a special Heritage Night at the Olde House, Newbold this Thursday 7 February 2008, from 7.30pm.

It is a CFSS members' event but other fans can attend by making a donation on the door.

Among the highlights will be film of two cup matches from the the 1930s and footage of the 1945 War League Cup Semi-Final against Manchester United. There will also be views of the Whittington Moor site when it was still used for horse racing.

From more recent years there are the goals from the fabulous 1980-81 season as well as from the 1989-90 campaign. You can also relive the Anfield 4-4 match and Alan Crawford's goal six-seconds after kicking-off.

There will be a selection of programmes including pre-war ones, particularly the one from when we inflicted Chelsea's first ever Stamford Bridge defeat.

A series of the more unusual mementos from the Club will be there including plans for the main stand commissioned in the 1930s. We will also have a whole host of photographs and match-worn and replica shirts that might rekindle memories.

Fans can also bring along their own trophies as we might help put them into an historical context as well as cataloguing them as part of our history.
