Mark JulesThe Centre players were due to play Doncaster Rovers and Halifax Town on Sunday 26th of March, unfortunately the under 15 match at Doncaster was called off due to the bad weather. The home games against Halifax were still played because our pitches were in very good Condition.

The under 13s played extremely well and dominated the game for most of the 75 minutes. The under 14s started the match of really well but to Halifax's credit they came back into the game. The two teams were quite evenly match by the time the referee blew his whistle to end the match. Both Chesterfield and Halifax tried to play football in the right way.

On the 27th, 28th and 29th of March all the Centre of Excellence squads receive their assessments, the players are told whether they are going to be release or retained for the next season. It is not an easy time for both coaches and players because nobody likes to release players. We will only keep players who we think at this moment in time will progress and do well at the next age group.
