The Centre of Excellence had its last training session on December 7th before all squads broke up for Christmas.

Around this time of year all the players receive the first of their two assessments, the assessments are an indication of how well they are doing and what they need to improve on. There are 12 categories we assess the players on which are ball manipulation, passing and control, turning, dribbling, finishing, running with the ball, defending, enthusiasm and competitive spirit, overall understanding of the game, attitude to practice, heading and general fitness. There is also a general comment section for the coaches to write an overview of the player. The players need to work on their weaker areas while still maintaining their stronger points. The majority work hard at their weaknesses and improve by the time they receive their next assessment.
