The Centre of Excellence squads played there last pre-season games against Sheffield United, the under 10s to 14s were involved in these games. Over all the teams performed very well against Sheffield United, it's not just the results it is the way the teams performed. Results breed confidence but performances at this age are most important to me, judging from some of the performances the centre is moving in the right direction.

The Centre starts a full set of fixtures on Sunday 11^th September against Rotherham, I always use Rotherham as a bench mark because they always play at a high level. If anyone would like to watch our centre players they can see them perform at Chesterfield Cylinders Sports ground. The 11s, 13s and under 15s squad will be up there this Sunday 11.00am kick off.
