Aaron Pride, who has been with Chesterfield's Centre of Excellence since he was ten years old, was spotted by a Welsh FA scout and called up for the trials in Aberystwyth later this month.

The 14 year old can play either at centre back or midfield and has been with the Centre  of Excellence from Under 10 level.

The trials take place in Aberystwyth on 19 July 2005 and everyone at the club wishes Aaron all the best.

Dave Bentley said " Its good news for both the Football Club and, especially for Aaron, whose obviously delighted about the call up. He's been with us in the Centre of Excellence since he was in the under tens.

To be honest I did not know he qualified for Wales because Aaron lives in Sutton-in-Ashfield and he followed me to Chesterfield from my time over that way.  He apparently qualifies for Wales through his mother's Welsh connections."

Dave Bentley went on to say  "We all wish Aaron well in what could be a series of trial matches over the summer before the final selection is made for the Welsh U15 's international side for next season"
